Baldur's Gate App Reviews

This game shows old-fashioned 4:3 aspect ratio with two awful blank lines instead of 16:9 fullscreen like the screenshots. I am using iphone6+ with ios9.0 I think the game should be updated for ios9.

This game is great, in all standards. The controls are great, gameplay is intriguing, and bugs are minimal. I play on a 4s, and it runs fine. I highly recommend it to anyone who would take the time to learn it, as there is a lot to learn. That being said, casual gamers beware, this is not for the feint of heart.

I played the pc version and was hooked up. So happy they released a version for ipad. I bought it and was super disappointed! Crappy graphics, near impossible controls. Contacted customer support for refund, they never replied at all. Poor customer service! Do not buy this game!

This is a great game to be played or replayed from long ago. The performance is good and really lives up to all the memories of a game past but unlike the first person shooters and grinding of MMOs this has a detailed story and many characters to interact. Excellent gameplay

When playing this game on an iPhone 6S+ running iOS 9, the fullscreen is not utilized, instead showing black bars on either side. The game needs to be updated for full iOS 9 compatibility. That said, this is a fantastic rpg game, and other than the aforementioned issue, plays fine on the newest devices.

The game is not worth $10 the dialog is to small to read. Its very hard to tap on npcs. I would give it no stars if I had the choice.

Great game! Could use a slightly wider and tighter zoom ( I’m not afraid of looking at pixels) Otherwise, PERFECT. I want to thank Overhaul games for fixing a previous glitch with the interface. I read a couple of the reviews, and I will preface this one by saying I played ( although didnt finish ) the game when it originally was released on PC. There was not a tutorial at that time, and the game was an awesome experience. Apparently, today it looks as if most the poor reviews are from people that did not play the original ( and likely were not alive when it was released ) as the beginning area in this game provided more guidance than I remember of most games at that time. Ok so I have rambled long enough, if you played games in the mid to late nineties, you will like this game whether you ran across this one or not. If you are accustomed to more recent games with integrated and in depth beginning tutorials, you will find this game difficult to get started with. I recommend buying it, and sticking with it. I find it is much easier to play on my iPhone than it ever was on my PC.

The tutorial is super uninformative. Im told to hit buttons that i dont see. I spent an hour pressing all the buttons and pointlessly trying to find the "quick spell bar". Im so frustrated i no longer want to play the game.

Its an awesome game but all it needs is the full display for iPhone 5 and up I would be happy if you guys can please fix this

This game works surprising well on an iPhone, but you will have to get used to it. It is an artifact of gaming from the 90’s, which means incredibly complex rules and interactions. If you are into that, this is, indeed, a classic.

This game is fantastic if you like D & D and old school games. The combat is a little bit slow if youre used to more fast paced games.

Great value- hours and hours of gameplay with good story and detailed world.

Loved the PC version, hoping to enjoy this one but why isnt there iCloud support for game saves to play on multiple devices? Join the 21st century please...

I am now downloading it for my 2nd time. This game is very fun! Sure the graphics arent perfect but it is still very entertaining. I have never enjoyed a game like this before but I used to have this for the computer. I can play this game 100 times and it will never get boring!

Yes you can export saves but you cant import them. Beamdog needs a cloud saving option badly!!!! You used to be able to move saves from Mac and of versions and back. No more.

baldurs gate has always been one of my favorite games. Seeing it on the App Store was a surprise. I was a curious how the game would hold up as an iOS port, but I find the graphics and the interface surprisingly good. One thing I noticed right away that may make this review unusual from others--the game runs COLD. Im used to games heating up my phone and draining battery at a ridiculous pace. Even simple ones. But baldurs gate appears to use virtually no resources. It shouldnt be a surprise given it made back when Windows 95 was a thing, but I think its a testament to how true to form this iOS version is.
