I literally bought the iPad for this game! Would like to see more oldies. Thx beamdog

Controls are a bit hard to work (especially combat selection or NPC selection). Game does not look good zoomed in past the default which is too small. But its Baldurs Gate, on the iPad!!

I have a first generation iPad and the game sometimes crashes when I rest. But as with all RPGs, save often and youll be fine. Other than that the game runs great. The touch interface is incredibly easy and user friendly. The in game purchases are cool but I would love to see a "legendary" armor/weapon DLC in the future. Thanks.

I only gave it 2 stars because of the great heritage of BG on Mac and PC. Otherwise a 1. Controls are so awkward on iPad that its a pain in the neck to play. The iOS is just a crappy game platform because of its klunky input/interface.

The game use a lot of memory on ipad if you play for many hours but except that, that an excellent game. To solve the issue just close the game, apps and the ipad for some seconds and retry, everything should be fine. Many many hours of gameplay and the black pits is just perfect. Cant wait for bg2:ee on ipad. :)

Im trying to put cheat code but I dont know how to do it!!!

I played this a lot before the latest patch and there were many many frustrating bugs. Having played a good 10 hours with the patch all of them seem to have been resolved. The new UI Tweaks are also much appreciated. The patch notes dont even begin to cover everything they fixed and tweaked (I noticed they didnt mention the dwarf dexterity bug and aoe spell lag but both have been fixed for example.) It was a long wait for that patch but well worth it - cant wait for BG2...

Now with the recent update the game is perfect. Thanks Beamdog I cant wait for BGII:EE

Just bought this a week ago. Game works great, no crashes and tremendous value for the cost. Never played Baldurs Gate before this and very impressed. This is what a rpg should be, in depth, meaningful choices and loads of fun.

Ive spent probably 80+ hours playing this game, playing it through as different classes. Its a near perfect port of a classic game, and BG2 is soon to be out (charname import). Considering the average price: playtime of games on the App Store, his is a huge bargain. Thanks to the devs.

As someone who had only played BG2/TOB on PC before I was a little skeptical about how BG would work on iPad but my goodness was I ever proven wrong. The game feels like it was made for a touch screen, and aside from some minor glitches and nuisances its superbly executed. Great job by Beamdog in bringing these timeless classic games back to life!

Love this game but quickly became frustrating with crashes. playing on original iPad the game kept crashing at cinematic scenes and rest stops, couldnt advance. Tried closing running background apps to no avail. Shutting the iPad off (hard reset) seemed to fix the problem! Back to loving it and having a ton of fun :)

Fantastic game, one of my favourite RPGs from PC. Best iPad game I have played. Prefer to pay the initial cost with in game purchases.

I would love to say I have had a good experience with this game - what Ive seen of it and remember from the old days shows lots of potential. However, iOS crash logs indicate it head either memory leaks or poorly-managed memory that causes it to crash periodically and if you forget to quick-save often enough then all your work is lost. It is too frustrating to play for long. This is on an iPad 1, you may have a different experience on newer hardware with more memory. If the memory issues were fixed Id give it 5 stars, but as is I cant give it more than 2.

This is a amazing game! I have bin playing for hours and is a huge amount of fun! GET IT.

Amazing port thank you so much for bringing this classic to iOS. Runs flawlessly on my iPad, no bugs or crashes so far. This really took me back to the good old days of gaming. Must buy!
